Road Closure and Streetscape Updates 6/10/2024
ROAD CLOSURES:
- Southside of Hollywood Blvd. between 20th Avenue and 21st Avenue to be closed until late August, but will be open every weekend starting the weekend of July 4th.
- Based on feedback at the last Coffee with the Crew we will open the southside (eastbound lane) between 20th and 21st during the weekends starting the weekend of 7/4/2024.
- After the July 4th Holiday weekend, the road will be closed during the week (Monday through Friday) and will open on Friday afternoons and will remain open until Monday mornings.
STREETSCAPE UPDATE:
- Irrigation and Electrical Rough-in
- Installation of electrical handholes and pole bases
- Excavation/grading of roadway
- Subgrade for sidewalk area
- Excavating and pouring tree pit header curbs.
HOLLYWOOD BLVD. SOUTHSIDE BETWEEN 19TH AND 20TH:
- Paver installation
- Pressure cleaning and sealing pavers
- Roadway subgrade and limerock
- Pave roadway
- Install signs and stripe roadway and parallel parking stalls
- Furnishing installation
HOLLYWOOD BLVD. SOUTHSIDE BETWEEN 20TH AND 21ST:
- Asphalt repair to open a couple of the parking stalls
ROAD CLOSURE UPDATE:
- Southside of Hollywood Blvd. between 19th and 20th will open on 5/17/2024.
- The parallel parking stalls on the southside between 19th and 20th will remain closed until 5/24/2024 to finish pressure cleaning/sealing and final cleanup. Parallel parking stalls will open on 5/24/2024.
- The closure of the southside of Hollywood Blvd. between 21st and 20th will begin on Tuesday, May 28th, 2024 (The Tuesday after Memorial Day weekend)
Simplified Detour For Southside Between 19th and 20th - Incl. N. 20th Ave. Between Tyler St. and Hollywood Blvd
ROAD CLOSURES:
- Southside of Hollywood Blvd. between 20th Avenue and 19th Avenue to be closed until May 17th.
- N. 20th Avenue between Hollywood Blvd. and Tyler Street will be opened on 5/2/2024.
- Southside of the Hollywood Blvd. and 19th Avenue intersection will be closed beginning 5/6/2024.
- Parking areas on the south side of Hollywood Blvd. between 21st Avenue and 20th Avenue will be impacted for storm drainage installation beginning week of 5/6/2024.
- Southside of Hollywood Blvd. between 20th Avenue and 19th Avenue will be opened on 5/17/2024.
- Southside of Hollywood Blvd. between 21st Avenue and 20th Avenue will be closed for construction beginning 5/20/2024.
SCHEDULE/WORK UPDATE FOR WEEKS OF 5/6/2024 AND 5/13/2024:
- Subgrading sidewalk
- Continue pouring 12" radius bands
- Form and pour curbing for permeable parking areas
- Paver installation beginning on the east end and working west
- Subgrade and construction of the south side of the 19th Avenue intersection.
- Milling the diagonal parking stalls
- First lift of asphalt
- Pour flowable fill for paver base
- OPEN BLOCK ON 5/17/2024
ROAD CLOSURE UPDATES – 4/19/2024:
- Hollywood Blvd. from 20th Avenue to 19th Avenue to remain closed.
- N. 20th Avenue will be opened on Saturday at noon (4/20/2024) for northbound traffic. We'll close it again on Monday (4/22/2024) to continue work.
- N. 20th Avenue will be open by 5/3/2024.
- The southside of the 19th Avenue intersection will be closed on 5/6/2024 for construction until completion.
- Hollywood Blvd. between 19th Avenue and 20th Avenue will be completed and opened to traffic on 5/17/2024.
- Installation of storm drainage structures between 21st Avenue and 20th Avenue will begin 4/29/2024. Parking stalls will be impacted, but the road will remain open. We will patch the parking areas back so the car show can take place as scheduled.
Close southside of Hollywood Blvd. between 21st and 20th on 5/20/2024 for construction. This closure will be in place for 12 weeks.
